Alma 56:47
Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them.

An Almost Normal Week

Wow, wasn't conference just great?  I know I'm a little behind the times, but I loved watching conference this weekend.  I think it is so fun to watch conference with the other missionaries.  We really had a good time listening to the prophets' talks.  Too bad I only get two more sessions as a missionary.  But that's better than zero.  But yeah, there were a lot of good talks and a lot of good messages.  And watching it in English was nice too.  But I am excited to get the Liahona with all the talks written next month because I'm sure there was things that I missed the first time that I'll be able to find if I look again.

Well this week was pretty much packing, travel, and unpacking, and more travel.  Kano choro left this week to up north in my beloved Aomori prefecture.  So we went and visited a few people before he left.  We had a lesson with U san and even though he was super bummed about Kano choro transferring, we had a good lesson and he promised to be baptized if he finds out if the church is true.  I know he will get an answer to his prayer if he sincerely wants to know.  It will be so exciting to see him get baptized.  Or to just find out that he was.  Either one is good as long as he learns the church is true.

Also, my new companion came to Nagaoka on Thursday.  I went up to go get him and then we came down that night.  He is a really great guy and super focused on the work.  I am so excited to be his companion.  It is going to be a really fun transfer I think.  And he's the new district leader which is really cool because he is only one transfer above me.  So we are a pretty young companionship still.  In fact our whole district is pretty young because the other two missionaries went to the MTC at the same time we did.  In fact Fitzpatrick choro is serving in the other area in our district so that is way cool.  Its fun to see how much better we've become since the MTC.

Well other than transfers and Conference, this week was just another normal week in the life of a missionary.  Hopefully this week will be a normal week too, because a normal week for a missionary is full of really awesome, miraculous things.  Until next week then.  Bye!

Love, Wixom Choro
