Alma 56:47
Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them.

Sometimes We See a Miricle or Two
This week was much more relaxed and not as busy as last week was. But we were still able to see some good things happen so that was nice. We went to Joetsu to do splits with the other missionaries in our area and we had a nice time. It meant that we had less time to work in Nagaoka, but it was nice to help them out in their area. We went to go visit some old investigators to see if any of them had interest, and it was funny, we ran into one of the men we wanted to visit on the street. But we didn't know he was who we wanted to visit, and he didn't know we wanted to visit him. So when we showed up at his house later, we were all really confused. But even though it was a little awkward, the guy was still nice and they'll probably be able to visit him more.
One cool thing that happened on Wednesday was we went to visit a less active sister who we ran into while we were housing one day. We thought it was crazy that we just randomly ran into her, but it wasn't nearly as crazy as what happened this week. When we visited her we asked her some questions about herself. We found out that she and her husband are both return missionaries. She served in Sapporo which is the mission just above ours. Kano choro's dad served in that same mission and it turns out that they know each other. How crazy is that?!? It was pretty neat to find out about that. This week we're going to go back over and look at pictures together. Maybe it will rekindle some of that old gospel fire that she has.
Also last night we were housing, trying to teach some lessons because our other plans fell through. And we weren't really getting anywhere and it was raining and we were tired, getting discouraged, and wanted to go home. But we wanted to teach the lessons that we planned to. So Kano choro offered a prayer to help us find two people that we could meet and share a lesson with. And when it was getting about the time for us to go home we ran into a super nice lady who let us share a lesson with. Although it was only one of the two lessons we wanted to do, Heavenly Father answered our prayer and now we have a new investigator who said she will try to read some of the Book of Mormon. It was a nice little miracle to end the week on.
I hope that all of you had a nice week. And that this week will be nice too. I love you lots!
